One Month

What WAS all that hollering about, anyway?I do. I remember it as if it was just yesterday, but guess what little guy...
It was a month ago.
I have loved every moment of you.
These moments especially! :)
I love when you are squawking {because you don't scream, or cry, you squawk} and I pick you up and you let your head hang back and close your eyes and fall asleep. You trust me, and that's beautiful, because I've yet to drop you.
I love that changing your diaper has become a race since you've peed on me so many times and I'm trying to save the rest of my wardrobe.
I love when we introduce you and some people ask "Everest?" or "Sev-ERR-US?", others just smile and nod and contemplate your name later, others whisper "Danger is his middle name." as if it's taboo {keep this up and you might have a Chuck Norris type calendar} and others say "Oh my god! From Harry Potter? Nice!" {they're my favorites, it's a geek thing, you'll understand}.
I love to nibble your toes, your earlobes and your fingers, the latter especially, because, unlike your brothers, you don't play in the toilet.
This month has been amazing, watching you grow and sleep and nurse and sleep and sometimes wake up for ten minutes and sleep and nurse and sleep.
Some Things That Have Happened This Past Month:
♥ You got cuter.
♥ Your eyelashes grew.
♥ You grew too!
♥ Your brothers FINALLY stopped calling you "Baby Birthday".
♥ You went to the zoo, visited Caesar's class, Trick or Treated with Zombies, and attended your first social event {you had the great honor of being the youngest in attendance}!
♥ You've soiled more diapers, bed sheets and pairs of Mommy's pants than we can count.
♥ You have nommed my breasts 4, very unappreciated, times while nursing.
♥ You've rolled over from tummy to back twice!
♥ Your neck has become stronger to accommodate your big head which isn't as wobbly as it was before!
♥ You've been incorporated into "The Princess Noodle" stories as "Nugget".
♥ You grew out of Newborn sized diapers.
♥ We bought, and already lost, this cute blanket.
We got cool socks.
Some Things That Haven't Happened This Past Month:
/♥ I haven't written your birth story in your journal.
/♥ You still have not spoken.
/♥ You haven't punched either of your brothers in the eye, despite how many times they wake you from restful sleep.
/♥ You are not potty trained.
Sevie, we have enjoyed the first month with you, such an incredible addition to our beautiful family, and we love you so much.
*sigh*
