Two Months

{Originally written 12.10.2010.}

Dear Severus Danger,

The days with you continue to fly by and you are two months old today. 

{Mommy feels the same way, dude.}

You still sleep like a baby {see what I did there?}, but when you're awake you regale us with beautiful soft coos, brilliant smiles and the most cacophonous farts.

You've been giggling in your sleep, and yesterday you giggled at Daddy while you were awake. Our hearts exploded. Also? You interrupt nursing to smile up at me, and sometimes to stick your tongue out at me. I love this.

For some reason, you still like them, and find your brothers entertaining. You give them lots of smiles too, except for when Mercutio squeezes your cheeks and gives you a "pishy face". 

You look like your father.

{And yes, he also has that same "I am not amused" look}

You've grown so much since you were born.

{2 Months}

And I continue to be astounded by your super mega cuteness, and by your growth.

Some Things That Have Happened This Past Month:

♥ You continue to roll over from tummy to back when on tummy time. You've accomplished this feat a grand total of 6 times.

♥ You are beginning to pay more attention to the hanging porcupine and raccoon on your bouncer's play bar, you talk to them and you bat them with your chubby punchies.

♥ Mercutio read you "Yummy Yucky" by Leslie Patricelli {from memory, he's so smart!}, you responded by swallowing your vomit. We didn't tell your brother. You're kind of rude.

♥ You grew out of preemie and newborn sized onesies and sleepers and preemie sized pants. And we think you're ready for size 2 diapers.

♥ Your head is less wobbly. Go neck strength!

♥ You are soothed by the sounds of rain and thunder {truly our child}, and we fall asleep to them every night, thanks to the iPod.

♥ You've worn a suit, and slept through Thanksgiving.

♥ You visited the aquarium, saw your first snow, helped us pick out your siblings' Christmas presents and went Black Friday shopping.

♥ You made a beautiful new friend.

Some Things That Have Not Happened This Month:

/♥ Mommy has still not written your birth story in your journal.

/♥ You have not made us dinner.

/♥ You have not gone one night without peeing through a diaper.

/♥ You have not recited the Declaration of Independence.

/♥ You do not have a job.

My tiny love, our days have been so wonderful, I love waking up to your funny noises {even if they are coming from your butt}, I love to observe the way you look at your brothers and the way you whip your big head around to follow your Daddy wherever he goes. I love every moment that I get to snuggle with you, I love to wear you in your sling and have you close to me. We are all, so, so much in love with you.

I can't wait to see all that you accomplish next month, and every day.
