Three Months

Today, you are three months old.
And this past month has been enchanting. It seems like every day you've learned, or done, something brand new and awe inspiring and I just continue to fall deeper in love with you.
Your big brothers have gone from calling you "Baby Birthday" to "Sevie" to "Severus" and now to "Boo Boo". They call you this because of the song they created for you, and I love it! "Boo Boo" was also your Daddy's nickname as a baby, which is fitting because you guys are like twins.
Just the other day we visited the Seattle Art Museum and I was certain you still fit into your cute car jacket.
You didn't.
The phrase "Fat guy in a little coat." came to mind, I wonder if you'll ever watch the movie it came from. It wasn't super funny, but that line was pretty memorable.
You've grown so much. {Go boobies!}
You were in Preemie sized onesies when you came home from the hospital.
And you worked your way up to Newborn size.
And you're finally in Zero to Three Month sized onesies, yay!
Some Things That Have Happened This Past Month:
♥ Your smiles have turned into giggles! Once you giggled in your sleep, then you giggled AT your Daddy, and finally, I was able to MAKE you giggle! And you, in turn, made me cry.
♥ You celebrated your first Christmas and ushered in your first New Year! {You are a big fan of The Twilight Zone, but didn't care much for wrapping paper. I have a feeling this will change.}
♥ You love to be sung too, I have no problems obliging you. And for some odd reason, you find your brothers entertaining.
♥ You coo, gurgle and babble a little. The makings of brilliant conversations!
♥ You can hold on to your toys, and you enjoy pulling your brothers' hair with your tiny little punchies.
♥ You went on your first nursing strike, luckily it didn't last too long, but it did cause us a sleepless night and a very, very grumpy day.
♥ On the same day as your first bus ride, you slept through your first museum exhibit; Picasso!
♥ You've decided, while you can hold your head up during tummy time, that you'd rather not - because apparently being lazy is much more fun.
♥ We are both losing our pregnancy hair. You have a perfect bald spot on the back of your head. I don't have a bald spot, and I'm okay with this.
Some Things That Haven't Happened This Past Month:
/♥ Mommy STILL has not written your birth story in your journal. I know.
/♥ You cannot change your own diaper.
/♥ You have not learned to drive.
/♥ You have not poured me a cup of coffee. {Which would be helpful if you ever decide to go on nursing strike again, just a thought.}
Severus, the days must be moving faster, because I cannot believe that you are three months old already. Every day with you is wondrous and I am so proud and grateful to have you in my life.
Another month begins today, I am so anxious to see what you'll accomplish within it!
