Favorite Stuff Friday!

Friday, March 25, 2011 at 1:50PM Welcome to this week's edition of Favorite Stuff Friday! Where I share my favorite super awesome new {and new to me} stuff!

I am SO SUPER MEGA CRAZY MUCH in love with my family necklace from Cinnamon Sticks! It is perfect!
I'd been on the hunt since my pregnancy with Severus, and stalked Etsy on a regular basis to find one. I had settled on one from The Bead Girl, her work is beautiful as well, but in the end it simply didn't suit me, so I kept looking.
On the same night I found this one, I bought it! And it is so lovely, everything I desired. I wanted simplicity, I wanted my entire family showcased without shelling out $200, I wanted there to be clinky sounds when I walked and moved - I have a sound thing, I even have a tiny bell cell phone strap on my camera - and I have all of that.
Squeeeee!
Boobie Beanies! I tried to convince Christian that Severus needed one of these but he's not hearing it {as pro breastfeeding as he is, he says he doesn't want his child wearing a boob on his head just to make a point, I guess I get that}. Still? Such a wonderfully clever idea. Just recently the owner had her Facebook fan page removed {Grrrrrrrr}, there's another one created in support!
I LOVE SRIRACHA TOO, Oatmeal. Oh my, how I love Sriracha! We didn't know it existed until we moved here, but we'll be taking our endless love with us to North Carolina. <3
Angry Birds Rio! I'm so awful at this game, but it's so entertaining. I have to admit, I feel like quite the addict; installed on my phone I have Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons and now Rio. On top of that, I might own a shirt expressing my adoration. I feel terrible for anyone who owns a Blackberry and isn't getting this goodness.
Spam! Not, Spam as in Spam, or even Spam, but Spam; my iPod touch. I usually don't use it for anything more than apps and music, but added the digital copy of Despicable Me onto it the other day and have a newfound appreciation for it.
Especially since Christian and I were looking for portable DVD players for the trip and the max battery life is 3 hours. Really? It's a PORTABLE device, shouldn't it have extended battery life? Spam didn't skip or freeze up or slow down, it plays the video perfectly, and doesn't kill the battery like I thought it would. So, w00t! Movies on my iPod touch, keeping my children sane when all else fails, FTW!
I want to create business cards for my husband, just so he can have this.
I learned that Seattle has its own Statue of Liberty. {How didn't I know this?!} I've added it to my list of "Things to Photograph Before Leaving" I'm feeling a little weepy about it, but, I think I'm finally ready.
The thing about change, is that it doesn't HAVE to be poop in your pants scary, and with all this dread I feel, I know that I'm setting myself up for failure. How could anything that brings us closer to Samara be terrible? How could getting to know my sister in law be anything short of amazing? I just needed to put this move in perspective.
Instead of thinking "Ugh, the South. Beaches, and heat, and religion and meh." I need to focus on the positives; closer to family, new experiences, living amongst people with different attitudes. It's not always easy to stay positive when upcoming change is so humongous, but I am dedicated to doing just that, henceforth. {Which means I'll need all of you to slap me, if I fall back into my negative thinking!}
Positivity, FTW!
Lastly, I can't put my fingers on why, but I have been digging this song for a minute:
And one I dug up in my extensive music collection that I have regained some love for:
When we first got to Washington and moved into our first apartment in Kent, Caesar and I would turn on the radio when Christian went to work, and we'd just dance together for hours. He didn't dance to this one though, because once it had come on while I was feeding him in his high chair and I danced around the kitchen and he giggled so hard, he expected me to dance like that anytime this song came on.
And so I did. And still do.

I LOVE YOUR POSTS AND I'M ADDING YOU TO MY SIDEBAR RIGHT NOW.
Srsly, refreshing site, awesome views, and that Sriracha link almost made me pee my pants from the awesomeness.
Pamela - Positive is the way to be. Since changing my thought pattern, I can honestly say this move is a lot less terrifying. ;) And you already know you'll get pictures of the Minions. I hope to make everyone SICK of my children!
Thank you, Janine! :D
When I saw the Sriracha comic, I was so tickled. And then the big boys recognized the bottle, and I KNEW I was parenting the right way. Sriracha FTW! :)
Mo, I get a bit giddy when I read your Friday posts! But, this one... I've made a wish list after looking at Cinnamon Sticks! I have a feeling gifts throughout the year will come from there. And a few for me, as well.
Would you kindly drop some Sriracha off on your cross-country trek? LOL I think I'll be ordering some in the near future. The thought of a spicy sauce that I haven't tried...well, I just have to fix that.
I haven't gotten Rio. Yet. I will. Soon. I. am. an. addict.
