{Hi! I'm Socially Inept!}

I'm Monique glitter shoed and tattooed chaos connoisseur and Mom of four spectacular children; Samara, Caesar, Mercutio and Severus. I'm sickeningly happily married to Christian. I'm awful at crafting and have limited cooking abilities. I enjoy an unhealthy obsession with nail polish and am fiercely devoted to growing as a Photographer. You can learn more about us here.

I also share some thoughts at Off The Deep End, provide reviews for Gaming Angels, and proudly stand beside The Band and its taco kicking, stigma busting greatness.

Favorite Stuff Friday!

Welcome to this week's edition of Favorite Stuff Friday, where I explain to you why I've neglected my blog, tell you I'm pregnant {April Fools, but you'd believe it because - hello, I have four children, so naturally an announcement has to come soon, right?} just like everyone else, and maybe slip in an Unfavorite gripe as I share some of the things I've fallen in love with this week!
{I promise, I'm not pregnant. Why is that THE joke of the day?}

Earlier this week my Mother In Law made her way to the East Coast, and requested some time with the boys, leaving Christian and I with some time to kill. Alone.

We looked at each other stupidly for a while, without the kids we're shells of boringness, and then decided to eat lunch at our favorite, super seekrit spot, for probably the last time. I was intrigued by the new menu item; black bean bisque, and I tell you it was de.licious.

Starbucks has dangled in front of us, the one thing frazzled and overworked moms {and other less important humans} have only begged for since the dawn of Starbucks' time. DELIVERY! Alas, the jerks have made a wonderful April Fools joke out of our collective lament.

Though, after having a puppy delivered to me, I don't understand why Starbucks doesn't offer delivery Get with it guys!

Red Tricycle got in on the April Fools Day "fun" as well with their Ugly Baby Contest.

{Part of the million reasons why I love Seattle, despite my hatred for April Fools Day.}

Happy Birthday, Badtz Maru! Squee!

Blogger Body Calendar is back for 2012 with a host of new bloggers, and this year their charity is going to be Violence UnSilenced. Which I think is a perfect pair up. I don't ever talk about the time I was sexually assaulted, or the time I had to beat a dude off of me when he threatened to punch me, or the stupid things I did to myself, the dangerous situations I put myself in...

I'm so grateful the events weren't as traumatic as they could have been that I don't feel a need to discuss them. But others have been in far scarier, life threatening, horrendous situations and Violence UnSilenced has made sure their stories have been heard. Guts, man. Guts. <3

Though again, there is the usual little/no diversity. Which is sort of the reason I've been off site; I asked a question and got a douchebag response and I've been working on a cohesive {I'm not even concerned with poignant} entry since.

The next time I have $400 lying around {snort}, I'm getting this mirror. I like myself, my man and my dishes tatted up {why in the world am I just learning about this?}, and speaking of tattoos, I want to share one of Christian's and my favorite tattoo magazines, for any enthusiasts out there; Bound By Ink. While I think I've made it obvious that I reserve very few feelings besides "Ugh" for animals, I feel a swelling in my heart for these disgustingly adorable puppies. If Christian would ever allow {warning, crappy autoplay on this blog!} this, I'd marry him hard! I DESIRE! Wusthof needs this case, like right now, and these definitely need to join us in our kitchen exploits, and by "us" I mean my husband. <3

I'll share a Minion favorite too, the boys {including Severus} all love this song.

This song makes me want to dance. I really like Keri Hilson, despite how blatantly superficial this song is.
Someone put a lot of time into this video, but it's really the song I love. {Don't judge me.}
