Eleven Months

Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 8:06PM Dear Severus Danger,
I am trying to wrap my head around the fact that this will be your last monthly entry. Next month, on October 10th you will be one year old.
To say that I am devastated is an understatement, my darling Prince. How quickly eleven months has greeted us is brutally unfair.
But I still revel in the wonder of you today, the way I do everyday.
Bebs, you have two teeth! Two beautiful tiny grains of rice popping through your pink gums! You enjoy their presence, they've enabled you to better tear through your meals of delicious anything and Baby Led Weaning is even easier, despite weaning being the last thing on either of our minds.
You are so close to walking unassisted. You stand for longer periods of time, and then you take a small step and tumble to the ground laughing. The excitement of that keeps you from continuing, it's such a joy to watch I'd much rather you took your time.
You've become quite the inquisitive little troublemaker as of late, escaping your high chair, climbing with ease, turning off the PS3 when you were supposed to be innocently sitting there nomming on Cordelia's hand.
You are only still when you are asleep, and sometimes I do breathe a sigh of relief when I've had to chase after you more than usual. But I get it, I know this world is full of so many interesting {and potentially tasty} things.
You enjoy playing with your big brothers now, you want to be wherever they are and you don't yet understand that sometimes those silly fools are too rough and inattentive. You'll be able to hold your own soon, Boo Boo, and then you won't have to fret as much.
Daddy and I have decided that for your first birthday, you will have a grand Yo Gabba Gabba themed party. You're excited, I mean, you can't really tell me that but I'm pretty sure you're looking forward to it, and you know exactly what I'm talking about.
Sevie, I am saddened by how quickly your time as an infant is coming to an end, but I truly can't wait to be a part of the next stage of growth you usher in.
I love you. Happy eleven months.
