Part Two: Tips For Radiant Skin

This post is sponsored by Dove® ClearTone™ Deodorant - designed to visibly reduce underarm dark marks and even skin tone.

Please remind me never to promise pictures without checking the weather at least. I was all ready to give you the best pictures ever of my super dressness and, naturally, it rained all day. There was no sun, no light at all. The pictures I did take, were laughably terrible, made worse by not shooting in RAW which would have saved me.

So a slight change of plans for today's entry. You'll still get my radiant skin tips, you won't get to see the full effect, but you will get to see my badly painted living room!{Sorry, we have to repaint this summer.}

I try to keep it easy, I have a lot going on as I'm sure many of you can relate to, so a simple regime is best. I don't feel bad if I skip a step or two, I don't stress over completing it every day, I do this whenever I have, or can carve out, the time.

  • Water, drink lots of it every day. I can't stand water, and I have an intense hatred for flavored water {unless that flavor is Coca Cola}, so this is always my biggest challenge.
  • Exfoliate. That stuff with alcohol is terrible though - dries out your skin, making it look, well... dry, and lifeless. I exfoliate my whole body twice a week at least, three times a week at most.
  • Similarly, brush your skin. I know that sounds mad, but a soft bristle brush is amazing at ridding your body of dead skin and other radical cling ons. {Obviously, clean the brush when you're done, that helps.}
  • I also keep my body pretty free of chemicals, I don't smoke anything, I don't drink very often and I hate to admit this - but since changing our diet, the quality of everyone's skin has improved dramatically. *cries*

  • Cranberry facial masks are the bomba. I so rarely get to make one, but they're very easy!
  • Moisturize. Cocoa butter is a staple in our house because it's also helpful with Caesar's eczema, but it is admittedly a little heavy. Apparently, coconut oil is awesome too, I intend to try some very soon.
  • Exercise! {I know. *groan*} After Yoga and a shower in the AM, I notice I have a glow and great energy. Bonus extra shine if I got to meditate too!
  • Laughter and a positive mood {trust me, I can laugh all day every day, but maintaining a positive mood just as often is tough}. If your skin wasn't radiating before, it definitely is now.
  • Sticking some sort of reminder like this, up to your mirror or other highly visible area:
     Because you are, truly!

I hope that by utilizing some of these tips that you'll find the confidence to Dare to Bare this summer, and forever.

You are beautiful! What is the recipe for the cranberry facial? Why is it the bomba?

Beautiful! I'm right there with you on the water thing! It's yucky! But I try :)

Thank you all. Audra - I use this recipe http://www.ehow.com/how_2342570_make-cranberry-facial-mask.html and it's great because it leaves my skin all happy and smooth!

LOVE your tips. :) Coconut oil is supposed to be good for literally everything. I've heard that even the more expensive brands will wake up in the middle of the night and clean your house for you.
